Grocery Stores Using Big Quantities to Entice Shoppers
Grocers are using a new technique in an effort to promote shoppers to buy more than their shopping list would normally dictate. Like, most retailers they are feeling the pinch as people spend less these days. Instead of the old gimmick "buy one, get one free" many grocery chains have expanded beyond this to offering multiple items at a lower rate if purchased together. Buying patterns found through loyalty cards, receipts and other research are some stragtegies grocers are using to pin point just the right multiples that will get customers to spend a little higher than their typical rate.

"Ugandan Stove Project"- Rodelle, Inc.
Rodelle, Inc., announced the launch of its "Ugandan Stove Project" to celebrate their 75th year in business with a network of 9,000 Ugandan farmers.
This project will be a collaboration with the nonprofit organization Trees Water People, that will support farmers, the environment, and the local people of Uganda.
